SEBASTIAN BACH Recalls Drunken Jam Session With COREY TAYLOR At Houdini Mansion
May 26, 2014Kristyn Clark of Pop Culture Madness conducted an interview with former SKID ROW vocalist Sebastian Bach on the red carpet of the May 15 "Monster Energy Roast On The Range With Corey Taylor" event in Columbus, Ohio where Bach served as the "roastmaster."
Asked to recount a particularly memorable story involving him and Taylor, Bach said: "We had a party once at the Houdini mansion in Hollywood, a very famous building. This is when [Corey] was drinking, and I was drinking. Together we were drinking. We were, like, experts; we were very good at it. We were talented drinkers. But we ended up jamming, as musicians do. But the songs we did will go down in history. Like, CYPRESS HILL was there, all these rappers, all these metal guys. But me and Corey were doing songs like the theme to [the TV show] 'The Jeffersons'. And we were killing it. And all these rappers were going, 'Fucking Sebastian is crazy, man. Corey is fucking crazy.' 'Cause we were doing all these theme songs, but full-on metal style. And it was a lot of fun…. I was so drunk that I was hitting these fucking notes. I don't have to be drunk to hit the notes, but when I'm loaded, I never wanna stop singing. It's, like, 'Somebody yank this fucker off the stage.'"
"Monster Energy Roast On The Range With Corey Taylor" aired on Friday, May 23 exclusively on Howard Stern's SiriusXM channel Howard 101, through the SiriusXM Internet radio app on smartphones and other connected devices, and online at www.siriusxm.com.
A portion of the proceeds from the Monster Energy Roast On The Range With Corey Taylor is benefitting MusiCares, a nonprofit organization founded by The Recording Academy to provide a safety net of critical assistance for music people in times of need, including emergency financial and medical assistance, addiction recovery services, and more.
